THE PAST: It was at school in Cardiff, Wales that Shaky, first decided he wanted to be
a rock & roll singer. With his group the Sunsets, he began playing the club circuit
in Wales. However, for the next few years major success eluded him. He toured
extensively with the Sunsets and enjoyed a couple of minor hit records in
Holland. In 1979 TV rock producer and entrepreneur Jack Good invited
him of a 36 week syndicated television series "Let's Rock." That show
was seen in 35 markets in the US By this time Shaky had left the Sunsets
to embark on a solo career, starting with his debut Epic LP and a Top 20
hit 'Hot Dog'. The Shakin' Stevens phenomenon rests on a successful
combination of oldies such as "This Ole House and "Green Door" along
with brand new compositions such as "Marie Marie" and his biggest
worldwide hit "You Drive Me Crazy" Shaky has also developed his own
song writing, of which "Oh Julie" went to the highest chart position in
the United Kingdom!!

NOWADAYS [2009]: Shaky performes in public quite often to
promote his new album called "NOW LISTEN" In 2008 he performed
during the open air festival in England/Glastonbury and faced a massive
crowd from the Pyramid stage where he was on. He also did a mini tour in
Ireland and in the pipeline for this spring is the appearance of the whole
back catalog in a "remastered" CD-BOX. Check here for more news!
